There’s something so special about photographing a family welcoming a brand new baby into the world — and this session was pure magic.
At just a few days old, this sweet little girl was already surrounded by so much love. Her big sister couldn’t have been more excited, absolutely beaming with pride and curiosity. Watching her gently snuggle her new baby sister was heart-melting. And of course, we can't forget the family’s beloved dog, who made sure to stay close by, eager to be part of the action and protect his growing family. If you're feeling a little nervous about having your newborn session at home with your lively and wild yet love-filled crew, take a peek at this blog — you'll see how those real, candid moments make your photos even more personal and meaningful!

Having the session at home made everything feel so relaxed and cozy — just the way a newborn session should be. I love being able to find little pockets of light in your home, where you're spending all of your time as a family, places where you're up with the baby all night and have suddenly become the center of your first few weeks with a new little one. In their home, everyone felt comfortable, and the natural moments of connection unfolded so beautifully. From quiet cuddles to big sister giggles to even a few playful moments with the pup, the love and joy in this home were so easy to see — and even easier to capture. Check out this guide to see what you need to do in order to prepare for an in-home newborn session (spoiler: be as comfortable as you can be!)

There’s nothing like preserving these first sweet days as a new family of four (plus one very devoted furry friend!).
