Wellness in Focus | Branding Session with Athena Newell of STAT Wellness

Meet Athena Newell, Family Nurse Practitioner at STAT Wellness here in Charleston. Athena is a nurse practitioner, a dedicated medical professional, and a vital part of the care team helping clients achieve real, lasting wellness through functional medicine. With a background in both nursing and exercise science, she brings a powerful mix of compassion, experience, and clinical knowledge to the table- especially when working with women navigating hormonal imbalance, autoimmune conditions, or parents seeking regulation support for their children.

During her branding session, Athena brought the calm, grounded energy that STAT Wellness is built on. We focused on capturing imagery that reflected her role as both a highly trained medical professional and a warm, approachable guide through wellness journeys.

With degrees in both Nursing and Exercise Science, and a Master’s in Nursing Practice from The University of Texas-Austin, Athena’s background is as impressive as it is diverse. She’s spent eight years working in emergency and family medicine- and now brings that experience to a practice built on listening, educating, and creating long-term solutions.

Oh, and did I mention she’s also a wife and mom of three? I also had the chance to capture her beautiful family at Hampton Park!  She understands firsthand the demands of busy lives and the importance of whole-body wellness. This session was a joy to photograph because you can see so clearly that Athena practices what she teaches- finding balance, leading with compassion, and helping others feel their best from the inside out.
