Why I Edit Your Photos to Look Like Real Life (No Outfit Color Swaps Here)

I love a good magic trick in editing as much as the next gal—give me all the glowy light, creamy skin tones, and a little extra sparkle in your kiddo’s eyes. But when it comes to changing the color of your entire outfit? That’s going to be a no for me, dog. 😆

Here’s the deal: I’m a celebrate life exactly as it is kinda photographer ( when It comes to family sessions!!) . I believe your photos should feel real. and Honest! Like a memory you can hold in your hands. That means if your daughter wore the neon purple leggings instead of the cream ones you meant to pack—guess what? We’re rolling with it. And it’s going to be beautiful.

My editing style is all about preserving the true colors, tones, and warmth of the moment. I’ll enhance lighting, clean up distractions, and make sure your gallery feels cohesive and full of life—but I won’t airbrush your family into a version that isn’t real.

I do have to mention a fine print item right here... for branding photos I do offer a high-glam edit which includes skin smoothing, and wrinkle adjustments for clothes. And of course if you have something you're insecure about let me know! I'm more inclined to photograph you from the most flattering angle instead of having to edit your photos after the fact! I do get into all of the specifics about what you can expect from my edits in a video posted to my youtube channel here! )

You won’t get fake skies, face-smoothing filters, or a completely different wardrobe in your final images, unless we've discussed something very specific! What you will get are photos that reflect the real magic: your connection, your laughter, your love—and maybe even those perfectly imperfect leggings, Because the truth is, what matters most isn’t having a "perfect" picture. It’s freezing this moment in time—exactly as it is. You know why? Because the love in your family is beautiful exactly how it is.

And I wouldn’t change a thing.
