I started talking about this topic softly, a video on my Instagram and then a video on Youtube. And since those shared thoughts keep bringing views and comments, it seems this is a topic that lots of people are still so curious about! So I can't very well stop talking about it right?! Not until everyone knows my answer to a very hot topic...
**Should you wear your Apple Watch in your photos?*
*My answer? Yes.
If you’re even thinking about it—then yes, keep it on. Now, I know there are photographers and styling guides out there that say absolutely not. That it takes you out of the image or looks too casual. And listen, I get that. But I also have a hot take on it, and I’m here to share it with you.
If your Apple Watch is something you wear every single day—if it’s basically an extension of your wrist—then why take it off for your photos? I wear mine daily. You’ll catch me with it at the library, the grocery store, your photo session—you name it. When I had my own branding photos done, you better believe I left it on. To me, that little black square on my wrist is part of my real life. It’s part of this chapter I’m living in. And that’s what we’re capturing in your photos—*this* moment in time.

Ten years from now, when we’re getting text messages projected into the sky (who knows, right?), I’ll look back at our family photos from 2025 and remember: “Oh yeah, that’s when we all wore those watches everywhere.” So if your Apple Watch is part of your every day, leave it on. It’s your life, your story, your photo. Now, that said—if you’d rather go a little dressier and leave it off? Totally fine too. The only thing I really advise against? Taking it off after it’s given you a deep tan line. Because editing around a watch tan can be trickier (and more noticeable!) than just keeping the watch on. Bottom line: There’s no right or wrong here. But if you’re asking me? If you’re even wondering about it? Just leave it on.
