There’s something so special about photographing a family who simply radiates love- and that’s exactly what it felt like during this beautiful session with Athena and her crew at Hampton Park, a favorite photo location here In Charleston.

Athena, a dedicated mom of three and Family Nurse Practitioner in Charleston, arrived with her husband and their three sweet kiddos for a session full of sunshine, laughter, and connection. Hampton Park gave us the perfect blend of lush greenery, open space, and dreamy evening light to capture it all. I'm so glad I got to photograph Athena for her feature on the Charleston Working Moms website. Her interview is such a good look at how amazing this lady is!

Athena looked effortlessly elegant in a white top paired with the prettiest floral skirt and beige heels that added just the right amount of polish to the park setting. Her husband kept it classic with slacks and a soft blue collared shirt that tied in perfectly with their boys’ looks- one in a crisp white button-down, the other in a blue tee, both wearing khaki shorts. Their oldest, their daughter, twirled around in a darling pink and white dress that was as joyful as she was.

This family’s connection was easy to see and even easier to photograph. The way they looked at each other, the playful giggles between siblings, and the gentle way Athena and her husband moved through the session- everything felt so natural and full of heart. Their session was a sweet reminder of how precious these everyday moments are, holding hands, sharing laughs, and little kisses!

It was truly a joy to document this season of life for them, and I hope these images serve as little time capsules of all the love they share.
